Curt’s Grandma’s Bread

Img_1146I made bread today using Curt McAdams’ Grandma’s recipe and it met with resounding approval here in the Fumbling Foodie household. On entire loaf was devoured within about 5 minutes.

My loaves did not turn out in the traditional rectangular shape but I’m not sure if that is a problem on my part or if that is supposed to be the way they are. Curt?

  3. Curt,
I think the problem was that I did not let them rise long enough. The stuff I have been reading leads me to believe that after dividing the dough and putting it into the pans I should have left it to rise for 60-90 minutes. My rise time was much shorter
I am curious though that you were able to get 2 loaves out of three cups of flour. A lot of recipes use twice that.
