St Valentines Day Dinner
What would a cooking blog be without a St. Valentines Day post? This year I decided that instead of taking my wife out for dinner, I would make her a nice dinner at home. It turned out to be much more enjoyable than fighting the crowds and dealing with the noise. Dinner at home was quiet, intimate, and relaxed. One of the gifts given to me by my wife this year was a pastry blender. And as you can see in the photo at the right, I immediately put it to use making Chocolate Heartletts with Citrus Mousse Filling.
St. Valentines Day is also our Wedding Anniversary, and making dinner offered me an opportunity to do something nice and special for my wife. Toight’s menu was:
Cheese & Crackers
Watercress Soup
Sear Roasted Salmon with Rosemary Beurre Blanc Sauce
Roasted Carrots & Parsnips with Shallot & Herb Butter
Chocolate Heartletts with Citruse Mousse Filling

I’m feeling guilty for not doing a Valentine’s Day post. But everything looks great, David. I hope she enjoyed it. 😉
