Pastry Bag Tips (Piping Tips)

You will need a small number of tips to go with your piping bags.

This is the cake decorating set I bought from King Arthur Flour when I started out. So far I’ve not needed anything bigger/better/more than this. The only caution is that you must dry them thoroughly after cleaning or they will rust.

One of the nice things about these metal tips is that they can be purchased individually.  My local cake decorating supply shop carries a wide selection.

I’ve seen a very nice set of plastic tips in a plastic box. My friend the professional pastry chef recommends them because they do not rust.  They are about $20.
