Days Inn Ft Benning Screws Up
A few weeks ago my son graduated from US Army Basic Training at Ft Benning, GA. My wife and I went there for his graduation ceremony. While there we stayed at the Days Inn on Victory Drive, just a few minutes away.
My wife had brought along embroidery gear to work on in the car to pass the time while travelling though the scenic vistas of West Texas. My wife is very organized and keeps this ‘kit’ consisting of a couple of projects, thread, and all the other necessary stuff in a small zippered pouch. Part-way home (about Jackson, Mississippi, I think) we realized that the pouch was no longer with us.
Deducing that we must have left it in the room at the Days Inn, we called there and sure enough they had it. They agreed to ship it to us and we gave them our credit card number for the shipping charges.
A week went by and nothing. We called. They still had not shipped it. Finally on about August 8 they claimed to have shipped it and in fact a charge for $10 appeared against our credit card.
Since then however they have been totally unresponsive. They cannot produce a tracking number even though they originally claimed to have sent it Express Mail. They cannot produce a receipt. In fact, all we are getting now is a run-around.
I know we will be back to Ft Benning again many times but I’ll be damned if I will do business with someone so unresponsive.
(Not to mention that the advertised WiFi did not work the entire time we were there)
